Depth Elements are intended for low flows containing soft contaminants, sludges, slimes and waxes, or large quantities of small particulates present in oils, fuels, water or a wide range of chemicals.
Depth elements are available in hundreds of different sizes and forms. The elements contain natural or synthetic fibers and blends selected for chemical compatibility and filtration efficiency to provide 1-150 micron selectivity with 60-100 PSIDP collapse pressure rating and up to 350"F maximum operating temperature, depending on the media used.
The prime advantage of depth elements is the large dirt holding capacity, long filtration cycles and retention of small particles in "polishing" applications.
